| Driving
from Germany to Italy and back is one of the best driving experiences
anyone can have. As you leave Frankfurt, you'll drive down to
Stuttgart and Munich where you'll visit the Mercedes, Porsche
and BMW factory and museums. From Munich, you'll climb through
the foothills of the Alps toward the Brenner Pass to Austria.
Rolling through high mountain ranges and deep valleys, this
driving will inspire you. |

Once
on the other side of the Alps, Italy's Autostrada provide
a full range of diverse driving conditions, from tight
down-hill curves coming out of tunnels, to long sweeping
mountain vistas on the way to Venice. You'll stay in Florence
near the city center, then drive to the coast where you'll
visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa. |
| Turning
north, along the coast, you'll stop in Genova, the city
of Christopher Columbus. You'll continue north through
Milan then overnight at Lake Como. Returning to through
the high Swiss Alps, onto the Autobahns of southern Germany
and back to Frankfurt. |
Day
1 (Thursday)
- Flight to Frankfurt - Overnight flight to Frankfurt usually
begins in the afternoon with your flight departing in the afternoon.
Depending on your flight times, you'll arrive generally in the
morning or not later than around noon.
An airport transfer limo will pick you up at the Frankfurt International
Airport and transport you to the Hotel Steigenberger located
near the airport. Relax from your overnight flight after check-in.

Later
in the afternoon, we host a Tour Dinner gathering in one of
the hotel's meeting rooms. We'll spend some time meeting and
you'll also receive Tour information presentation. You'll receive
your Tour Pack, along with instructions and some final Q&A.
For the rest of the evening, you'll have time for some nightlife
and sightseeing in Frankfurt, ...or some get rest for the next
day.
Day
2
(Friday) - In
the morning, after breakfast, we'll
start with a drive to the RosoBianco
Automuseum, a short 30 miles away in Aschaffenburg,
we take a tour of one of the best automobile museums in
Europe. |

More than 200 sports classics of over 50 different makes
are exhibited. Furthermore a real important Auto Art Collection
with about 600 items in the Art & Auto Forum.

| In
the afternoon... we'll
take
a short drive south on the Autobahn to Speyer, where
we'll check out a unique Speyer
Aircraft and Technical Museum. |

Speyer Technical Museum, one of the major tourist
attractions in Germany, is situated on an area of
over 16.000m² indoors, and in open air grounds
comprising in excess of 150.000m². Speyer offers
more than 3.000 exhibits.
Among
them 70 airplanes and helicopters, 50 vintage
cars, 40 fire engines, 20 locomotives and more.

Later
we drive on to Stuttgart in the afternoon,
we'll
check into the LeMeridien
in Stuttgart.

Le Meridien Stuttgart is a contemporary hotel,
situated directly opposite the famous Schlossgarten
Park and offers views across Castle Square. |

Day
3
(Saturday) - In
Stuttgart visit the Mercedes and Porsche museums at
the factories.
|
|
|
|
| After
lunch, we take a short drive on the Autobahn to
Sinnsheim, where we'll check out a unique Aircraft
and Car Museum. |
 |
Sinnsheim
Museum has over 30.000m² indoors, and 50.000m²
in out-door exhibits.
These include 300 vintage cars, 200 motorbikes,
40 race- and sports cars, 27 locomotives, 50 airplanes,
steam engines and trucks. |
| There
are actually 2 Condors at this site...an Air France
Condor and a Russian version. You can actually board
the Condor, and other jets. |
We spend another night at the LeMeridien
in Stuttgart.

4
(Sunday)
-
In the morning, 9am, we'll
drive East to Ingolstadt, where we'll tour the Audi
Forum.
|

The
Audi Forum Ingolstadt is based on an urban concept: production,
administration, services, showrooms, shops, cinema, restaurants
and museum are connected with each other. We'll
also experience a tour of the Audi Factory.
|
After
visiting AUDI Forum, we head south to Munich, You'll
check-in at the
LeMeridien-Munich.
You'll be treated to an Executive Room, King Bed,
garden or city view, spacious contemporary design
PlasmaTV, HiSpeed Internet, an indoor pool, and Breakfast!
|
|
Explore downtown Munich in the afternoon You have
the rest of the day and evening on your own to
see the city.

5 (Monday)
-
Today starts early, at 9am
we'll visit the BMW Factory Tour and
Museum. |
 |
|
For
a BMW enthusiast, the BMW AG Museum in Munich is one
of the highlights of a visit to Germany.
Located
next to the 1972 Olympic village in Munich, the BMW
Museum building is shaped like a mushroom and has a
spiral ramp that winds its way up to the top.
Each area along the way is filled with race and prototype
cars along with video presentations available in different
languages to explain BMW's philosophies and technical
accomplishments.
The Factory Tour
will take about 1 hour, then we'll visit the Museum.
After the museum, we'll once again continue
south on the Autobahn
through Austria to Venice, Italy.

|
From Munich to Innsbruck will take
about 2 hours. From there it's a great scenic drive over
the Alps and down into Venice.
We should arrive in Venice around 6pm. After checking
in at the hotel NH Laguna Palace, you can take an evening
out to Venice. Cab to the Grand Canal, then take a boat
to Piazza St Marco or stroll through the City.
A boat will take you to from the hotel to the Grand Canal,
Rialto Bridge, and of course, Piazza St. Marco.

The
hotel's two buildings are linked together by a glass
roof which stretches over a marina which connects with
all canals, enabling you to reach the city of Venice
by boat. Includes satellite TV, high speed wireless

NH Laguna Palace is situated 10 minutes by car from
Venice.

6
(Tuesday)
-
Start early to explore Venice by boat in the morning.
We will get started early, 8am, you'll beat the
crowds and get to see Venice since the city is very
concentrated. At around 1pm, we'll depart for Marenello
to visit the Galeria Ferrari. This is about a 195km
drive (about 2 hours). We'll spend about 2 hours
at the Galleria and depart south to Florence. The
drive to Florence is about 136km. |

The Galleria is open daily except on Mondays between
10:30am to 19:30pm..

|
Maranello
has many excellent Italian restaurants. The Il Cavallino,
located across the street from the Ferrari factory
and famed as the spot where Enzo Ferrari would eat
lunch.
Not far away is Da William, another great Italian
eatery where the service is excellent.
Time
permitting,
we
can take a short drive south to visit the Lamborghini
Factory Museum, before
leaving for Florence.
Museum is located in Sant'Agata, (a
35km drive from Marenello). |

The Lamborghini Factory Museum is on the factory
grounds.

| This
museum features many special cars including the
last made of several models and several Formula
1 cars. |
We'll
drive south about 160 km to Florence and check into
the Hotel Berchielli. |
The
Hotel is located in the historical centre of the
city, on the right bank of the River Arno, just
moments walk away from the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi
Gallery, Pitti Palace, Piazza Signoria and the famous
Brunelleschi Dome. Get out
those digital cameras again!
Elegantly
furnishings thick pile carpets combined with soft
neutral tones and precious marble. The rooms are
sound proofed and have direct control air conditioning,
Satellite TV, internet access, and more...
Florence.
A city full of history. You have the evening to
stroll into the city center. Shop, or vsit any of
the many Museums
within walking distance from the hotel.

Day
7 (Wednesday)
-
You can tour more of Florence in the morning after
breakfast. Check out by noon and we'll begin our
drive to Pisa at around 1pm.
|
Drive through the hills just outside of the city.
You'll find the Autostrada leads you through the
hill tunnels and the valleys of the Tuscan wine
country.
It's an 85km drive to Pisa where we'll visit the
Leaning
Tower
of Pisa. PISA,
on the Arno, near its mouth, was once the rival
of Florence in wealth and population.
Afterwards, we'll take a short drive to the coast
and have a sea-side lunch in Marina di Pisa.

Next,
we'll take a 165km drive north up the
coastline to Genova
where we'll check into the Tigullio
Royal Hotel
(or comprable).
The Hotel Tigullio Royal is a modern
seafront property located in Rapallo
centre on the promenade boasting panoramic
views of the Gulf of Tigullio.
While in Genova, visit the Christopher
Columbus Museum or take in some of the
great clubs and restaurants along the
shore. |

| Completely
renovated, the hotel is located in a picturesque
setting along the Rapallo promenade with a
beautiful view of the Gulf of Tigullio that
can be admired from the buildings seven
floors. A few metres away are the ferries
to Portofino, San Fruttuoso, Portovenere and
the Cinque Terre. |

The tower has 294 steps up a spiral staircase
to the top, and is accessible today.
GALILEO GALILEI carried out famous experiments regarding
the effects of gravity from the top of the Tower
of Pisa. |

8
-
Today,
we drive north through Milan to Como, we'll depart
at around 11am. |

For the classic "Milan" shopping experience,
La Rinascente is next to the Duomo.
|
| It
is less than a 2 hour drive to Milan.
You can take some time in the city to drive
through. Visit the Duomo, or shop. The Duomo,
Milan's cathedral, is one of the largest |
 |
churches in the world.
From Milan, it's only about 40 kilometers to Lake
Como.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace dates back to
the beginning of the century. Built around 1910,
the hotel offers spectacular views of Lake Como.

Every
room offers extraordinary views of Bellagio and
the whole Riviera delle Azalee or
the Park. In the
Park you'll find a swimming pool, a tennis
court, a health path among various pieces of contemporary
art.

9 - Return
trip to Frankfurt... |
| Driving
through the high Swiss Alps, you'll reach
the Swiss border at Bellinzona/Chiasso. From
there you'll drive through Switzerland on
the A2. Reach
the German border at Basel. Stop for fuel
and food on the German side of the border,
then merge onto the A5 German Autobahn. |

|
|
After
a great lakeside breakfeast, we'll
get started on the way back to Germany
with lots of great memories.
|
Take the A5 the rest of the way north.
You'll pass Freiburg (The Black Forrest),
Strassbourg, Karlsruhe, Heidleberg,
and Darmstadt as you make your way to
Frankfurt.

We'll
join up once more for our Farewell
Dinner at the Hotel. You'll have the
rest of the evening to relax or go
for a night out on the town.
